So, this little gem came from a flat of ephemera I bought a couple of years ago, when I was still spending my Sundays at the local auction house (now defunct, alas). I went wild and spent a dollar or so (actually, I think this was a bonus, along with something else I spent real money on…you know, upwards of three dollars, to make the
perfect gift for somebody).
There were, I am certain, more little product-promoting recipe booklets as part of this purchase, but, how much more American can one get, than to present a collection of JELL-O recipes and cartoon pages featuring Jack Benny and Mary Livingstone touting the product?
For the record, these pages are almost as old as The Bat. (Hi, Mom! Hugs!)
